‘Tupelo the Donkey’ is a song of mine that came out of a dream I had. Pardon the preamble, song starts at 1:24.
The ‘Pig in a Pen’ video to the right was recorded a couple months back at an open mic at The Crooked Goat brewery in Petaluma, CA.
I learned it from the ‘Old and in the Way’ album. David Grisman, Jerry Garcia, Peter Rowan, John Kahn and Vassar Clements. Damn!! What a group. I play a couple of their other tunes as well.
The other tune..’Rise and Shine’ is one of mine… kind of a reminder of all the folks sleeping rough out there.
I wrote ‘Walk On’ with folks in abusive relationships in mind.
