HEY THERE!

This is a 6:25 DEMO REEL that I hope gives some idea of my solo work. It shows parts of 5 of my tunes and 1 Lefty Frizzell tune…Nothing fancy here…just raw iphone footage. Headphones help.  Heh heh…sad, but this thumbnail shot is NOT my home studio, though that is me at the board.

Where does Hope come from?

There's a thing to re-cognize

When his singing's done

What's behind a robin's eyes?

I found her in the graveyard in the warmish winter sun

Cee Campbell

OUT and ABOUT

Cee has been playing harmonica, acoustic and electric guitars and  a handful of other string, brass and woodwind instruments for most of his life. He's worked in various folk/rock duos and trios, and guested with many country and RnB bands over the years in diverse parts of the USA and in London, UK.

He began playing songs he's written on his own in 2006, opening now and then for friends in cafes and pubs up in Portland,OR.

Upon moving back to the SF Bay Area (home) in 2010,  Cee ceased performing for many years due to  a very demanding day job followed by the Covid pandemic, though he did continue playing, writing and recording his ideas in what free time he had.

Recently inspired again to play out, and especially to sing, he's prepared three sets worth of songs.  Roughly a third are his own works, and the rest are by, among others, Ralph Stanley, The Carter Family, Lefty Frizzell, Bob Dylan, John Prine, Neil Young and The Band. He tends to play their lesser hits which one doesn't hear as often: not "Blowin in the Wind", but "Bob Dylan's Dream"; ..not "Helpless", but "Powderfinger";..not "Let it Be", but "Hard Day's Night"...and so on.  The folk and country gospel songs are mostly biggies though, and are perhaps the covers that, in his own way, Cee presents best.

                               HEY!!   MORE INFORMATION

Cee ( that's me) is available for dates in every sort of venue public and private, and as an opener for another act if one is needed.  His  P/A gear is of good quality and can be configured to suit any small to medium sized indoor or outdoor space; and can be powered by batteries for several hours in places where there is no electricity available. He communicates with staff as needed to maintain his volume at a level where staff can work effectively, and your patrons or guests can easily hear one another over his performance. Their time together and their enjoyment is, after all, the main event.

More videos, recordings and a store will be added to this site as I have time and fresh recordings to offer. Please check back, or better, contact me at the address below for information about my rates (flexible), and for me to answer any other questions you may have. Thank you. Cee
